About Yours Truly

" Behold, children are a heritage from the Lord. The fruit of the womb is His reward. Like arrows in the hand of a mighty warrior, so are the children of one's youth. Blessed is the man who has his quiver full of them. He shall not be ashamed, but shall speak with his enemies at the gate."

~Psalm 127~

Since you are here, I will assume you wish to know more about me, and my dear little blog. So, without further-ado, here are a few important things you should know about “Yours Truly”:

I am a Christian, saved by the divine grace and mercy alone, bestowed upon me by the only perfect being there is, Christ. My goal in life is to "glorify God and enjoy Him forever", and I daily strive to be more like Him! I glean hope from His word in my everyday readings, and find such peace resting in His everlasting grace. Though I am not in any way near perfection, the Lord has graciously given me a new life and restored my heart; and is each day helping me to see His perfect righteousness. I am ever thankful to Him who opened my eyes to my sins, and blessed my soul with salvation!

My family is quite unique, both in size and the way we live. I have been blessed with three darling little sisters and six absolutely charming brothers. My father is a wonderful example of what a godly man and family leader should be, and continually makes me smile. Mama-dearest is the greatest influence to me and my sisters as to what a godly woman should be, and daily teaches and guides me and my siblings in a gentle, God-honoring way.
We love to explore God’s creation together. Many times in fine weather it is quite possible you may find us hiking the Pocket Wilderness, or admiring the majestic views from Sunset Rock. We live in a small older house, but as I am continually learning, God put us here for a reason and though it may not be what I would prefer, white washed walls and a working air conditioner aren’t the most important things. :)

I love to be creative. Whether through writing, sewing, or taking photos, I adore coming up with inventive crafts and simple decorations. Antiques are one of my favorite things to shop for, and dreamy, romantic stories from way-back-when make me tingle with excitement. I do have a bit of a crazy side… but only when I’ve found that the cupboards no longer hold a delicious chocolate snack, or when my favorite song comes on the radio. :) I cry when I hear sweet songs such as “How to Say Goodbye” by Michael W. Smith, and love books written by Jane Austen. I adore baby kisses. I'm called "Nana" by my youngest brother, and occasionally a simple "Jo!" is heard being directed toward me by a few of my dear March "sisters". 1st Peter 1:3 is one of my favorite verses, and I rejoice in the love of Christ!

I began this blog so that I may share photos and stories of me and my family’s daily adventures. I am so glad you have decided to stop by, and hope you have a simply splendid day! :)

Yours Truly,

~Miss Hannah M.
