Sisters & Fabric..

Hello all!
I have been missing all of my blogging pals, but I am sure that in my absence you all behaved quite well. :) My siblings and I are simply adoring our little Creed, and I haven't found much time for doing anything else lately... (as a matter of fact, I am snuggling with him right now!)
But earlier today, the twins and I roused from our laziness, and set to making something useful...

I discovered some pretty scraps of fabric in one of my many craft boxes, ands thought of some quick and easy little bags that we could make.
The girls and I cut, trimed and sewed together these adorable purses...

..which, the twins found, are great for carrying around loose change!
Blessings,
~Hannah~

Babies...

Yes, I'm sure you all are thinking that this post, assuming from the title, is meant to announce a new Morsel's arrival. But no. We have yet to meet this young man; and instead, this post is about some darling little outdoor babies. Isaac has found a new hobby, talking to and taking care of two little families of birds living in our backyard. He checks on them everyday, and just this morning told us that one more egg hatched from "Nora's" nest. (the picture was taken yesterday, and yes, he named the mamma and daddy birds.) :) He really begged me to take a picture, and seeing as it was of babies, I couldn't resist. :)
I wil be sure to let everyone know when WE have a new little one, but for now, all I have to say is have a good week!
~Hannah~
P.S.
Oh, and Isaac wanted me to make sure that you all know that even though the picture makes them look bigger, those baby birds are really only about as big as a penny!

My First Candle!!

For Christmas last year, I recieved candle making supplies, as well as a book that taught me how. I was so excited, because this was exactly what I had been wanting for quite a while. I haven't been able to use any of it until now though, and so when I did, I decided to take a few pictures of the what I did.
First, I melted the wax in a double boiler, and as we don't have one, my creative dad came up with one for me! (don't worry, mom was fully aware that I was using her pots, and rest assured that they are now scrubbed clean and ready for use in the cooking area once more!)

I then poured the wax into this mold, ^ having already prepared the wick, etc.

O.K., so this picture is out of order. This is my big chunk of wax, and the tools I use to cut it apart. Looks fun, don't it?!
These are some of the other items I used, including the scent, wick, and mold sealer. (I didn't use any scent or color for this one though, cause I wanted to try it out first.)

I waited for it to harden, and everything in between, and.....

...Here it is!!!
Isn't it lovely??
& as if you couldn't tell, I am so excited!
Luv Ya,
~Hannah~

My purses!!!

I just finished creating two of the most adorable purses!!! (or at least I think so!) And just think, I made them from scratch!!! Okay, I'll start from the beginning. Well, I was looking through a box of scraps from quilts my mother had made, and I picked up a big piece of jean fabric. I suddenly had a great idea! Why not use this as a purse! So, I got out our sewing machine and got started. First I made the body of the purse, an then I ironed out the straps. After I had sewn those on, I thought it looked like it needed a little decoration. So I took out some white fabric and made a big bow and attached it to the purse. The other purse was made the same way, only it has different colors in it. It also has a pocket on the front. I can't wait to show them off!! :]

Dear God

Here is a little poem that I wrote a while ago :

Dear God

Dear God, I'm blind and I can't see,
Please change my heart and work in me.

Dear God, I'm deaf and I can't hear,
Please take this silence out of my ear.

Dear God, I'm weak, please make me strong,
Allow me to worship You all day long.

Dear God, thank You for Your love and help,
And now in You I find my wealth!!!!
