:)
...me trying to stay awake by reading the most intriguing "Emma"... that tattered and worn old copy from McKays. :) What a lovely picture...

lol I love it! So much like me! I was reading Wives and Daughters last night and mom's like, "You really need to get to bed, Bekah!!" But, now that I'm in the book, I don't want to put it down! :)

And don't worry about the picture! After all, we both know about the scary one of me (from my b-day) on Daddy's facebook! lol

P.S. I love McKay books! :)

haha! Thanks Bekah, you're a doll. :)

I'm like that too! I'll stay up way later than is good for me reading and reading and reading... until finally I can't stand to keep my eyes open! :) Books that make me do that are counted as "good" books in my opinion. :) I'm currently reading (besides Emma) "To Have & to Hold" by Mary Johnston... and have stayed up many a night lately relishing every word. Oh.... I love books. :)

Aww, you're welcome! :)

Oh yes! I do that, too! I'm always reading more books at once than I should. haha And then I get new ones and want to start them, too! ;) And then I wonder why I look like a raccoon the next morning. haha! Oh, I love "To Have and to Hold"! It's so good. It's been a while since I've read that, though; I'll have to read it again (once I've finished some other ones, that is! ;) ).

Ever since Mama first taught me how to read, I've joyfully read and read and read! I even read while brushing my teeth! ;)

Have a wonderful evening, dear friend!

Lol! We're such hopeless cases, aren't we?? :)

Yes, "To Have & to Hold" is a good book. I love it! :) and guess what?? I'm watching (...like at this very moment!) "Wives & Daughters"!! I'm excited, and love it already! :) I usually prefer to read the book first, but I couldn't help myself when I saw that it was an instant play on Netflix. :) So we will have to talk and compare on Sunday, deary! :)

No way!! Oh, I wish I was over there to watch it, too!! :) Although, I think I want to finish the book before I see the movie. But still, how exciting! I'm sure it's great!

Oh yes, definitely! We will have lots to talk about for sure! :)

Haha. I'm glad I'm not the only one that stays up WAY too late reading. :) I was up real late just the other night reading a book the Hugheys let us borrow called "Papa's Wife". It's sooo good!!

I love "Emma"! Have you read it before Hannah? Or is this your first time? Isn't it wonderful!

Haleigh,

That book sounds good! Who wrote it? I don't think I've heard of it.

I haven't read Emma, but I LOVE the movie; it's too funny! :)

Bekah

P.S. Speaking of the Hugheys, do you two know why Kelsey wasn't there today? I hope she's not sick...

Hannah said...

Aww, I've never heard of that book before either Haleigh. Is it good? Who wrote it?? :)

~Bekah.... I have no clue where Kelsey was today. I hope she wasn't sick! I wish I had asked Mr. Hughey about her.

This is the first time (shocker!) that I've read "Emma". :) But it's really good!! :)

I meant to ask him, too, but then he ended up leaving before the service even started. :( Maybe I'll call her tomorrow and see if she's ok.

Don't feel bad....I still haven't read it! ;)

Wow, I guess I missed something! :)

Oh Hannah and Bekah, daddy said Mr Hughey said, that they were all sick. But him of course.:)

The book "Papa's Wife" was written in the 1950s by Thyra Ferre Bjorn. It is So very good! Y'all would just love it!

Yes, the Hughey ladies were sick. Mama and I took them a meal on Tuesday and they were starting to feel better, though! :)

I can't believe tht you guys haven't read Emma! What's wrong with you?! :) Just kidding... :)

Miss Rebekah Ann S. said...

Thanks for the info on that book, Haleigh! :) What's it about? Sounds like a great read!

Yeah, I talked to Kelsey last night and was so glad to hear that they're better. How sweet of you to take a meal to them; I'm sure they really appreciated that. :)

I know, I know, we're in the dark ages. lol Just kidding!

See you tomorrow, Haleigh??

Oh, you would juat LOVE "Papa's Wife", B!!

It's a very humorous story about a young lady who has her heart set on getting married to the handsome town preacher, having a bunch of adorable children, and moving to America (they live near the Swiss Alps, I think), and having all those adorable children get a education (something rare during those times in Switzerland). :) The first chapter is titled, "How Mama Got Papa". lol. That first chapter made me laugh out loud in several different parts. Oh, I just love it!!

Unfortunetly, the book is out of print and the Hughey's said that it's very hard to find. So keep your eye's peeled, because I really want my own copy. What fun it would me to hand it over to my daughter one day and say, "I read this hilarious book when I was 16 and loved it!" I'm so sentimental...

Oh, so am I, Haleigh!! Sentimental should be my middle name. haha

That book sounds so great! I just love books that are heartwarming and humorous, too! :) Thanks for telling me about it! I will definitely be on the outlook for it, and if I find it somewhere, I'll definitely let you know! I want to add it to my own collection, too!

Have a wonderful evening,
B :)
